Trinidad’s junior show-jumping team of Sandhya Moll and Jade Gomez competed in the final leg of the CEA Junior Jumping Challenge 2010 held in Jamaica, where Moll finished as the top scoring rider in a very exciting jump-off against riders from Jamaica, Cayman Islands and Barbados.
In the final round of the two-day show, Moll was tied in first place with Annemiek Mackie of Barbados and Elsie Boone of Cayman Islands with no jumping penalties. Moll secured her win with a clean final round in a time of 36.58s, blazing a full five seconds ahead of her competition, second place winner Elsie Boone. In third place was Annemiek Mackie with a clear final round ridden in 42.36s. The Jamaican 16 & Under rider, Lackife Leslie had already incurred jumping penalties throughout the competition, and placed fourth.
Sandhya Moll completed the year with a near-perfect result sheet, placing first in three out of her four CEA Jumping rotations.
