CEA Junior Jumping 2010 - Trinidad

Picture
Trinidad’s leg of the CEA Junior Jumping Challenge will commence on Saturday 18th September at Hidden Valley Stables in Santa Cruz.

The team of Sandhya Moll and Jade Gomez will represent Trinidad once again at this two-day event, riding against the visiting teams from Barbados, Bermuda and Cayman Islands.

The CEA Junior Jumping Challenge is run annually among the islands of Barbados, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Jamaica and Trinidad. Each country is required to compete four times throughout the year: Once in their own country and three times in a different island. After each leg, the teams are given points based on their performance. The winning team receives five points, the second place team receives three, third place two, and fourth place receives one. At the end of the year, the accumulated points are tallied and the winner of the Challenge is announced.

Over the last two legs in which Trinidad has competed, Moll has placed first in her 16 Years and Under age category, and the team’s best performance was a second place in Barbados earlier this year. Both Moll and Gomez are looking forward to the weekend’s competition and hope to do Trinidad proud with their performance.
