The CEA Dressage Challenge 2017

The Caribbean Equestrian Association (CEA) Dressage Challenge was held last Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Saddle Valley and San Antonio stables in Santa Cruz.

The CEA is a competition held every year in the Caribbean where Barbados, Bermuda, Cayman Islands, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago compete in their home country and the selected judge moves from island to island to conduct the judging.  This eliminates the challenges of having to move the competing horses and riders overseas.

This year, the chosen judge was Mrs Sarah Geikie (USA) who offered solid advice to all of the riders following the competition. She commended Trinidad’s junior competitors, and is pleased to see the future of equestrian sport in its development.

Prior to arriving in Trinidad Mrs. Geikie visited the Cayman Islands and Bermuda and then moved on to Barbados upon her departure.  The country standings will be revealed once all the island visits are completed by Ms. Geikie.

Congratulations to the members of our Trinidad & Tobago Adult and Children’s team.
