Heartwarming “Equifun” Morning for Princess Elizabeth School Children

Trinidad and Tobago Equestrian Association Hosts Heartwarming “Equifun” Morning for Princess Elizabeth School Children

San Antonio Stables – The Trinidad and Tobago Equestrian Association (TTEA) held a delightful “Equifun” morning for the children of the Princess Elizabeth School at San Antonio Stables on Wednesday, June 12th. This event was part of TTEA’s ongoing therapeutic programme, “Equestrian Spirit,” which aims to benefit physically differently-abled children by providing them with opportunities to interact with horses and ponies.

The “Equestrian Spirit” programme is designed to foster self-esteem, confidence, and positive self-image among its participants. Horses have a unique ability to break through the barriers of isolation and frustration often experienced by differently-abled individuals, offering them a newfound sense of freedom and empowerment.

During the “Equifun” morning, the children had the chance to demonstrate the skills they acquired through the programme by guiding their horses around a course of obstacles. The event was filled with joy and excitement, as the children showcased their abilities and built on their connection with the horses.

A significant highlight of the morning was the evident enjoyment shared by all – the children, the volunteers, and the organizers. The volunteers, in particular, were thrilled to witness the children’s happiness and their remarkable progress.

TTEA remains committed to enriching the lives of differently-abled children through its therapeutic initiatives, and the success of the “Equifun” morning is a testament to the positive impact of the “Equestrian Spirit” programme.
